Great looking Mark Smith 1991 Evergreen Aviation Racing Indy Lights Bell Vortex helmet. Smith had a successful career in the Indy Lights series. He ran the series from 1990 thru 1992 where he finished 3rd in 1990, 2nd in 1991 and 7th in 1992. During that time he earned 3 wins and 18 top 5 finishes. Unfortunately Smith did not have the same luck when he moved into the Indy Car series. Smith still holds the dubious honor not qualifying for the Indianapolis 500 which has never had anyone with the last name Smith in the starting field.
