Emerson Fittipaldi 1989 Indianapolis 500 Patrick Racing Team Marlboro Stand 21 firesuit. This very historic piece of racing memorabilia was used during the 1989 CART racing season. All the markings on the uniform match up to those on the suit worn at Indianapolis when Fittipaldi qualified for the "BRICKYARD" classic and also in photos taken following the day of the race. This is not the uniform used on race day. The difference between the two suits is the PPG patch on the upper right side. On the race day suit the patch is centered above Fittipaldi's name and on our suit it is off set to the left. This uniform was also used throughout the 1989 CART racing season. The Marlboro Challange patch on the chest and the Goodyear patches on the sleeves were added late in the season before ihe Marlboro Indy Challange race was run. This was a season ending race that featured the top 10 drivers in the points competing in a season ending event.
